Vaccine Safety...Who do you trust when the agencies you're supposed to trust can't be trusted?

I think it's safe to say that parents who choose to vaccinate their children believe that vaccines are safe and effective. Parents trust their pediatricians; and U.S. pediatricians trust the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) which is the U.S. leading public health agency under the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). The following statement is taken from the HHS website.

"It is the mission of the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services (HHS) to enhance and protect the health and well-being of all Americans. We fulfill that mission by providing for effective health and human services and fostering advances in medicine, public health, and social services."

What if, when it comes to vaccine safety, HHS is NOT doing their job; and hasn't done their job for more than 30 years? Should they still be trusted? If you're a parent, grandparent or anyone who cares about children, you should be concerned, especially since during that time, the childhood vaccine schedule has increased dramatically.

In 1986, when Congress granted economic immunity to pharmaceutical companies for vaccine injury, they recognized it eviscerated the economic incentive for pharmaceutical companies to create safe vaccines or make existing ones safer. Congress therefore placed the responsibility and burden for vaccine safety directly on the shoulders and in the hands of the Secretary of HHS. This section is literally entitled “Mandate for safer childhood vaccines” and requires the HHS Secretary to submit a report to Congress every two years detailing what improvements in vaccine safety were made in the preceding two years.  
 
In August, 2017 Informed Consent Action Network (ICAN) submitted a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requesting any and all of those reports transmitted to Congress. HHS was unresponsive to the request, therefore on April 12, 2018, Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. and  Aaron Siri (Co-Counsel for ICAN) were forced to file a complaint in US District Court, ordering HHS to comply. Once ordered to provide the reports it came to light that, amazingly, HHS has never, not even once, submitted the required biennial report.

This speaks volumes about the disregard for vaccine safety at HHS and heightens the concerns that the agency doesn’t have a clue as to the actual safety profile of the now 29 doses, and growing, of vaccines given by one year of age.

Recently, Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. was interviewed by Del Bigtree, one of the preeminent voices of the vaccine risk awareness movement and founder of ICAN about the implications of this lack of oversight and what the future holds.

ICAN Written Notice to HHS
This notice sent to HHS (Health and Human Services) articulates the complete failure of HHS to conduct the proper science required to demonstrate vaccine safety. Additionally, ICAN lays out the provisions of the (1986 Act) that legally require HHS to conduct science that reduces the risk of all vaccine injury. Failure to do so could result in legal action against HHS.

The National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program (NVICP) was created in 1986 as a no-fault alternative to the traditional legal system for resolving vaccine injury petitions. According to the US Health and Human Services, it was created after lawsuits against vaccine companies and health care providers threatened to cause vaccine shortages and reduce U.S. vaccination rates, which they believed could cause a resurgence of vaccine preventable diseases. Any individual, of any age, who received a covered vaccine and believes he or she was injured as a result, can file a petition. Parents, legal guardians and legal representatives can file on behalf of children, disabled adults, and individuals who are deceased. According to the vaccine-injured and their loved ones, the program has failed miserably as a litigious, broken system where the injured are up against a government vaccine program, government owned vaccine patents, government health officials who administer the program and government paid attorneys from the Department of Justice.
