Since responding to the call to start the Vaccine Choice Prayer Community less than a month ago, I have connected with more vaccine information resources and more kind, passionate, well educated men and women -- who are committed to sharing information about vaccine rights and safety -- than I have in the past 25 years which is when my personal interest in this issue began. One of those individuals is Alan Phillips, a vaccine rights attorney who has authored “The Authoritative Guide to Vaccine Legal Exemptions” which you can download at http://www.vaccinerights.com. I have a copy of the guide and find it very helpful. Alan also has a vaccine radio show, The Vaccine Agenda, at www.blogtalkradio.com/thevaccineagenda that offers "Hard hitting information about vaccine adverse events, the real vaccine science, and your legal right to refuse mandatory vaccines." The show features experts on vaccine science and law as well as those who have experienced vaccine adverse events. For the second year in a row, I'm spending a week at a beautiful retreat house, St. Mary by-the-Sea in Cape May Point, NJ. The retreat house is a sponsored ministry of the Sisters of Saint Joseph -- a community whose mission is to "live and work so that all people may be united with God and with one another."
Two recent accidents at a CDC lab involving anthrax bacteria and a dangerous H5N1 bird flu strain as well as the discovery in an FDA lab storage room of several vials of small pox virus from the 1950's is a reminder of the need to pray for vaccine safety in all stages of development. All three accidents are attributed to human error. Please join me in praying that the workers entrusted with handling these substances use greater care to protect the public and themselves and that administrators, government officials, lawmakers and others responsible for overseeing these facilities, enforce policies and regulations that protect all of us from human error that can have deadly consequences. Vaccine Choice Prayer Community "officially" launched on July 4, 2014 (a day that those of us in the United States celebrate freedom) via a Facebook group, which I have since deleted. VCPC can be found on MeWe. I first started researching the pros and cons of vaccines in the late '80s when I was pregnant with my third daughter and the recommended vaccine schedule for children was on the rise. Fast forward to 2014 when I first became keenly aware that we, as individuals and as parents were losing our right to decide what is injected into our bodies and into that of our children; and that to me was frightening. |
