Those who question vaccine safety and choose not to vaccinate are often accused of being selfish and told they pose a threat to those who cannot be vaccinated. Vaccine induced herd immunity is a myth that pro-vaccine advocates often use to guilt parents into vaccinating. In reality, it is the recently vaccinated who actually pose a threat to the immunocompromised. (See links on Herd Immunity and Vaccine Shedding at end of this post.) I recently shared a post by Ashlyn Washington, entitled, "I’m a mom who is listening to what the CDC says about vaccines..." In the post below, Ashlyn who describes herself as "a tired mom to two kids, one with autism and an immunodeficiency" addresses the issue of herd immunity not only as a mom who has done independent research, but also from personal experience. Thank you Ashlyn!
Quit Using Immunocompromised People to Promote Your Vaccine Agenda by Ashlyn Washington, Walking in Quicksand
CDC, I’m talking to you. Media, I’m talking to you. Pediatricians, I’m talking to you. Parents who shame other parents, I’m talking to you. Using immunocompromised people as pawns in a vaccine-pushing agenda that twists scientific data to manipulate emotions is abhorrent.
I know it's a busy week with Easter and Passover; but I can't emphasize enough the importance of the free online "The Truth About Vaccines" docu-series that began on April 12th. If you are new to the vaccine issue, you will learn a great deal; and if you have been entrenched in this issue for a while, you will learn even more. Click here to watch the TTAV series trailer; for a list of episode topics and to register. You can also click here to register for access to this series and be kept informed of possible "replay" events and how to purchase the series if interested.
Below are transcribed excerpts from Episode #1 and Episode #2. Episode #2 is available until 9PM tonight, April 14th when Episode #3 will begin. Each episode is available for 24 hours; however, when I last checked, Episode #1 was still playing!
Mother to Pediatrician...“What makes you so confident that these vaccines that you’re giving day in and day out are safe, that they’re not harming kids?”
Pediatrician to Mother...“because the pharmaceutical reps tell me they’re safe.”
Laura Hayes, mother of a vaccine injured son who was diagnosed with autism at age two.
