If you've read my last two posts, you know that for over 30 years, the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services has not made sure that childhood vaccines are safe as mandated in the National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act of 1986. Therefore, it's up to us to demand a new vaccine safety policy. Demand New Vaccine Safety Policy

In 1986, prior to the explosion of the vaccine schedule, only 12.4% of American children had a chronic disease such as ADHD, autism, rheumatoid arthritis, food allergies, asthma, just to name a few. Today it's 54%. Anyone who tells you vaccines are eliminated as a culprit in these childhood epidemics is not telling you the truth.

“I don’t think that there’s any crisis that is as devastating or threatening to all of our values, to everything we care about as a nation, as a people, than the epidemic of chronic disease in America’s children...We know from the science that all of these diseases can be caused by the ingredients in vaccines; and we know that the epidemic of these diseases exploded after the dramatic expansion of the vaccine schedule that took place in 1989. That doesn’t mean that all of these epidemics are definitely being caused by vaccines; but it means that we ought to be doing the science. To understand exactly what HHS has failed to do, for over 30 years, read the "Mandate for safer childhood vaccines" excerpt from the National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act of 1986 below.

300aa–27. Mandate for safer childhood vaccines
​
(a) General rule
In the administration of this part and other pertinent laws under the jurisdiction of the Secretary, the Secretary shall--
(1) promote the development of childhood vaccines that result in fewer and less serious adverse reactions than those vaccines on the market on December 22, 1987, and promote the refinement of such vaccines, and
(2) make or assure improvements in, and otherwise use the authorities of the Secretary with respect to, the licensing, manufacturing, processing, testing, labeling, warning, use instructions, distribution, storage, administration, field surveillance, adverse reaction reporting, and recall of reactogenic lots or batches, of vaccines, and research on vaccines, in order to reduce the risks of adverse reactions to vaccines.
(b) Task force
(1) The Secretary shall establish a task force on safer childhood vaccines which shall consist of the Director of the National Institutes of Health, the Commissioner of the Food and Drug Administration, and the Director of the Centers for Disease Control.
(2) The Director of the National Institutes of Health shall serve as chairman of the task force.
(3) In consultation with the Advisory Commission on Childhood Vaccines, the task force shall prepare recommendations to the Secretary concerning implementation of the requirements of subsection (a).
(c) Report
Within 2 years after December 22, 1987, and periodically thereafter, the Secretary shall prepare and transmit to the Committee on Energy and Commerce of the House of Representatives and the Committee on Labor and Human Resources of the Senate a report describing the actions taken pursuant to subsection (a) during the preceding 2-year period.

I think it's safe to say that parents who choose to vaccinate their children believe that vaccines are safe and effective. Parents trust their pediatricians; and U.S. pediatricians trust the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) which is the U.S. leading public health agency under the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). The following statement is taken from the HHS website.

"It is the mission of the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services (HHS) to enhance and protect the health and well-being of all Americans. We fulfill that mission by providing for effective health and human services and fostering advances in medicine, public health, and social services."

What if, when it comes to vaccine safety, HHS is NOT doing their job; and hasn't done their job for more than 30 years? Should they still be trusted? If you're a parent, grandparent or anyone who cares about children, you should be concerned, especially since during that time, the childhood vaccine schedule has increased dramatically.

If you and your children are fortunate enough to have escaped obvious vaccine injury, just imagine what it's like for parents who have watched their child's physical and neurological health decline after vaccines, or worse yet, imagine what it's like to lose a child due to vaccines. Now imagine what it's like to watch three of your children "slip away" into their own little worlds on the same day -- the day they got the same vaccine.

In October, 2016, I shared a post entitled, "They just shut off...all the giggles...all the smiles..." which included a video of Brenda and David McDowell telling the story of their beautiful, healthy triplets who woke up happy, healthy 9 month old babies on June 25, 2007. At around 10AM that morning, they each received a pneumococcal vaccine; and by that evening, all three children were severely autistic. Brenda, an educational audiologist, describes how one by one, she watched her babies "slip away" into their own little worlds -- Claire at 12 Noon; Richie at 2PM and Robbie at 5PM.

Seven years later, the McDowells learned that weeks after their children were injured by that particular pneumococcal vaccine; it was  pulled from the market due to contamination; but not before it claimed the life of another two year old child.
