Vaccine Injury Awareness Month

It's probably safe to say that most people -- unless you read blogs like this one or visit websites, Facebook and Twitter pages that promote vaccine choice and safety -- have no idea that October is Vaccine Injury Awareness Month.  I Googled several "Awareness Month" lists and while I found "official" months for just about every cause, I couldn't find any list that included Vaccine Injury Awareness Month; even though vaccine injury and death have claimed the lives of countless children and adults throughout the world.  Sadly, since mainstream medicine and media refuse to acknowledge that there is a problem, we may never have an "official" count; and the numbers will only continue to rise, unless grassroots efforts of vaccine choice and vaccine safety groups are able to spread awareness and make a difference.

In my last post, I told the story of a high-ranking senior scientist at the CDC, William Thompson, PhD, who recently made a public statement that the CDC has, for more than ten years, hidden the findings of a study that showed a significant link between the MMR vaccine and Autism in young African American boys; however, pro-vaccine "experts" such as Dr. Paul Offit, Chief of Infectious Disease at Children's Hospital, Philadlephia, repeatedly say  (as he does in the following video beginning at 11:22 minutes) that vaccines are "very safe" and (beginning at 12:11 minutes) that he is "absolutely sure" that vaccines do not cause autism. I personally started questioning vaccine safety back in the late 1980's when I was pregnant with my third child and the recommended schedule for childhood vaccines in the US was on the rise.  (Click here for current schedule.)  I didn't understand why my new baby would need so many more vaccines than her older sisters who were born in 1978 and 1980 and received only a handful of vaccines as infants -- DPT, Polio and Measles, Mumps and Rubella (as individual vaccines).  I still remember my pediatrician telling me way back then that he did not believe in giving the combined MMR vaccine. He said that a child would never get all three viruses at the same time so why give the vaccines at the same time?  I am so grateful to him for that wisdom.  Also in the late 80's, we were finding out that the MMR shot was not giving lifelong immunity as was originally believed; and as a result, boosters were needed.  So contrary to what Dr. Offit states in the above video about vaccines being "the best of both worlds", vaccines did not offer the same lifelong protection as the natural disease did.

I've personally observed how children's health has deteriorated in the last 25 to 30 years and I have long-time clients who believe that their children's autism was triggered by vaccines.  Since becoming involved with the Vaccine Choice Prayer Community just a few short months ago, and with the magic of the internet, I have met hundreds of mothers from around the world whose stories are eerily the same.  Their children were perfectly healthy.  They went in for routine vaccines and within a very short time -- sometimes just hours -- their child's health deteriorated dramatically and in some cases, their precious baby was dead.  My heart breaks for these families -- not only for their very real and painful losses but because many of them blame themselves for permitting their child to be vaccinated in the first place.  Take the time to meet some of these beautiful children and listen to their parents at "We Remember" and "Families Speak."

I also find it terribly disturbing that these parents -- especially the moms -- on top of everything else they have been through; are often insulted and demeaned by physicians, school officials, other parents and even their own family members and friends.  They are referred to in a very negative way as "anti-vaxxers" when in reality had they not been "pro-vaccine" in the first place and trusted that vaccines were safe and effective as they had been told, their children  would not have been taken to the pediatrician for vaccines, and they would not be speaking out to help protect other children and families from the tragedies that they have endured.

I've been sharing a lot of information on our Vaccine Choice Prayer Community Facebook page; but I realize that is not enough.  Information must be shared with those beyond the Facebook community.  Information from credible -- non-CDC, non-AAP and non-AMA sources -- must be shared with future parents, parents of young children and with people of all ages.  Mainstream medicine's current vaccine program, which is far too heavily connected with pharmaceutical interests and even our own government, is harming and killing our children.  As parents, grandparents and as human beings, we should all be outraged by these senseless vaccine injuries and deaths; so outraged that we demand the truth about vaccine safety; push for the protection of parental rights and vaccine choice; and demand safer more ethical vaccines for those who choose to vaccinate.

I will be sharing information, via this blog, on a more frequent basis so that it can be easily shared via social media and also by email with those who do not use social media networks.   When I tell others about Vaccine Choice Prayer Community and ask them to offer a prayer, I find that the majority of people have absolutely no idea that parental rights are being compromised and that vaccines cause problems -- after all, it's not something they hear about on TV, in newspapers or in magazines.  That fact, in itself, says much about the depth of corruption and cover-up within the vaccine industry. 

Although not surprised, I find it quite interesting that the current ebola outbreak is being reported regularly and sometimes quite graphically in mainstream media; while vaccine safety and efficacy issues are not covered at all.  The CDC, the vaccine/pharmaceutical industry and mainstream media now have a convenient diversion from the CDC Whistleblower, Vaccine Injury Awareness Month and other vaccine related stories that they refuse to cover; and they might just have the fear created public support they need to justify a new ebola drug or vaccine.

Please join me and make it your mission to share information, stories and photos of those that have been harmed or who have died following vaccines.  These faces and these stories are real and not merely statistics.  Please share with love, not in an attempt to create or spread fear as pro-vaccine advocates often accuse those of us who promote vaccine choice and vaccine safety; but in an attempt to create awareness and save other children and families from the physical, emotional and financial heartache that current vaccines and the current vaccine schedule can and do cause.
