Medical journalist and Vaxxed producer, Del Bigtree, sums up John Oliver's recent HBO episode on vaccines beautifully with the statement, "He got it dead wrong." Unfortunately, Mr. Oliver delivered quite a bit of misleading information to his viewers. In the HighWire video below, Del, responds to the comedian/talk show host, point by point, setting the facts straight. It's unfortunate that Mr. Oliver didn't talk with Del first or research beyond the CDC website, before regurgitating many of the same "safe and effective" sound bytes we hear over and over again from the vaccine industry and pro-vaccine advocates. Take time to watch. You'll learn a lot. Vaccine injury and death are real and frequent. Children are harmed and families are left to pick up the pieces of their shattered lives. Perhaps comedians like Mr. Oliver should stop trying to turn this very serious topic into a laughing matter; or at the very least, become better informed, at which point they would find out for themselves, that the harm and heartache vaccines can and do cause are just not funny at all. Below is the full Last Week Tonight with John Oliver episode, for those who care to watch. Scroll down further for other responses to Mr. Oliver; for the IOM (Institute of Medicine) report and other items that Del references; and also for the video "Measles Back in the Days Before the Marketing of Vaccines" which includes excerpts from "The Brady Bunch" measles episode and two other well loved TV shows from 1950s and 1960s. Many people, including some medical doctors, believe that the science on vaccine safety is settled; that vaccines are safe and effective; and that there are no legitimate scientific studies to prove otherwise. They are wrong. One only has to visit the "We Remember" and "Families Speak" pages of this website to see that vaccines can and do cause serious injury and death; or read a vaccine package insert for a list of warnings, contraindications, precautions and adverse effects; but for those who insist on scientific studies for proof, there are plenty of those too.
Medical Research Journalist, Neil Z. Miller has summarized 400 important scientific papers that tell the other side of the "vaccines are safe and effective" story in his book, "Miller's Review of Critical Vaccine Studies." Included in Miller's book are peer-reviewed studies that show that mercury and aluminum in vaccines can cause neurological, immunological and development harm; studies that show the association between childhood vaccines and an increased risk of cancer, allergies, seizures, bleeding disorders and type 1 diabetes, and more.
“CDC has been characterized by at least four federal studies as a cesspool of corruption because of its pervasive interactions, entanglements I would say, with the vaccine industry...The CDC vaccine branch is really a subsidiary of the vaccine industry. It sells 4.1 billion dollars worth of vaccines a year. It spends almost 4.6 billion, almost half it’s budget, promoting vaccines and it only spends 20 million dollars testing vaccines...There's very little safety testing" - RFK, Jr. Tucker Carlson (Fox News) interviewed Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. this week on "Tucker Carlson Tonight." Several important vaccine related issues were discussed, including how pharmaceutical financial influence shuts down important vaccine safety discussions in the media; liability protection for vaccine manufacturers causing a lack of incentive for safe products; and the lack of adequate vaccine safety testing by our Federal agencies. Watch interview below and please share. As parents we make many decisions for the health and welfare of our children. The vaccine decision is one that can have life-altering consequences; and you cannot make a wise vaccine decision if you are not well informed. Unfortunately, simply "trusting" your doctor, is not being well informed. Doctors and nurses are taught that vaccines are safe and effective and to follow the CDC schedule. Very few read vaccine package inserts; know vaccine ingredients or understand how to recognize vaccine reactions; often telling parents that those reactions are "normal." They often prescribe Tylenol (acetaminophen) which increases the risk of serious injury or death because it depletes the body's supply of glutathione an antioxidant needed for detoxification. The video below from Pamela A. Popper, PhD, ND of Wellness Forum Health is for any parent who is concerned about vaccines, and for anyone who is trying to get a family member or friend to look into the vaccine issue more thoroughly. Parents, it is your responsibility, your obligation, to learn all that you can about vaccine risks before you permit them to be injected into your child. Like Dr. Popper, I have heard far too many parents say, "I wish I had known" or "I wish someone had told me." Sadly, there are many people who have no idea that vaccines can and do cause serious injury and death. It is the responsibility and obligation of those of us who do know to tell others. Quit Using Immunocompromised People to Promote Your Vaccine Agenda...a post by Ashlyn Washington6/28/2017 Those who question vaccine safety and choose not to vaccinate are often accused of being selfish and told they pose a threat to those who cannot be vaccinated. Vaccine induced herd immunity is a myth that pro-vaccine advocates often use to guilt parents into vaccinating. In reality, it is the recently vaccinated who actually pose a threat to the immunocompromised. (See links on Herd Immunity and Vaccine Shedding at end of this post.) I recently shared a post by Ashlyn Washington, entitled, "I’m a mom who is listening to what the CDC says about vaccines..." In the post below, Ashlyn who describes herself as "a tired mom to two kids, one with autism and an immunodeficiency" addresses the issue of herd immunity not only as a mom who has done independent research, but also from personal experience. Thank you Ashlyn! Quit Using Immunocompromised People to Promote Your Vaccine Agenda by Ashlyn Washington, Walking in QuicksandCDC, I’m talking to you. Media, I’m talking to you. Pediatricians, I’m talking to you. Parents who shame other parents, I’m talking to you. Using immunocompromised people as pawns in a vaccine-pushing agenda that twists scientific data to manipulate emotions is abhorrent.
We finally have a peer-reviewed, published study (actually two) comparing the health of vaccinated vs. unvaccinated children. For the many parents who have witnessed vaccine injury and death in their own children; and for those of us who have been researching vaccine safety for many years, the findings are not surprising. See video below; and read "Unvaccinated Children Have Much Lower Rates of Chronic Illness, Jackson State Study Finds" by Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. on the World Mercury Project website. I recently shared a post entitled, "Why do normal people question vaccines?" Below is an excerpt from another excellent article about vaccine questions, ones that author, Kathleen Kennedy (formerly of CNN), thinks the media should be asking, but aren't. (Personally, I think EVERYONE should be asking these questions too!) I discovered "Unasked Questions: A Remiss Media on the Issue of Vaccine Safety" on Robert Kennedy, Jr's World Mercury Project website which I highly recommend that you visit. Click here to read Ms. Kennedy's full article.
The following transcript of a call to poison control was recently posted on Facebook with permission to share further. The ingredients listed are some of the many toxic ingredients found in the 69 doses of 16 vaccines routinely injected into our children by the time they are 18 years of age; 50 of which are injected before the age of 6, beginning on the day of birth with no adjustment for the child's weight. In addition, multiple vaccines are often given to the child at one doctor's visit. (Click here to view the current childhood vaccine schedule.) It's also important to remember that if your child is injured or dies as a result of vaccines, neither the healthcare professional who administered the vaccines nor the pharmaceutical company who manufactured them is liable. Although it can be challenging to define what "normal" is these days, it's difficult for me to comprehend how anyone -- "normal" or not -- wouldn't have questions about what we're being told to inject into our or our child’s body. If you are someone who simply trusts your doctor; perhaps you should ask, who is your doctor trusting for information? As I share in "Why I started researching vaccines", my vaccine truth journey began with a question almost 30 years ago. "Why did my baby (born in 1988) need more vaccines than her older sisters who were born in 1978 and 1980?"
a blog post by Ashlyn Washington, Walking in Quicksand Many thanks to Ashlyn Washington for permission to share her blog post. Click here for more beautifully written, highly informative and well-referenced posts by Ashlyn. Today, I’m going to pretend we can trust the data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) website to make decisions on whether or not to vaccinate. I’m going to ignore the fact that a CDC scientist revealed that he and his colleagues committed scientific fraud by omitting and destroying statistically significant data showing risks associated with vaccines, because it has already been documented here, here, and here. I’m also going to pretend that every child who has a reaction to a vaccine has a parent who realizes and reports it. I know that’s impossible since most people haven’t perused the government website that discusses injuries occurring 42 days after vaccination. I’m also going to assume that all physicians have been trained to identify vaccine injuries, even though I have yet to meet a single doctor who was educated on this in medical school. The CDC states on their website “Like any medication, vaccines can cause side effects. The most common side effects are mild. On the other hand, many vaccine-preventable disease symptoms can be serious, or even deadly. Even though many of these diseases are rare in this country, they still occur around the world and can be brought into the U.S. putting unvaccinated children at risk.”
This commentary is parroted by the majority of pediatricians, journalists, and those who fancy themselves “pro-science,” with no attention to the statistics and extensive fine print on the CDC’s website proving otherwise. The table below was compiled using information from the CDC’s official website. |
